Barbara Cooper (Ms. Barb) is the lead-teacher and director of the school. She received her Montessori certification with Age of Montessori in Bozeman, Montana in 2015. She has an associates degree in elementary education, which she obtained in Brussels. Barbara is a Belgian national, speaks fluent Dutch, German and French. She grew up in an environment of modern art painting, played theater and was a member of a traveling puppetry show before she moved to Germany where she lived for 16 years before coming to Matamoras, PA. Without her husband (who is part owner of the school) and her 3 daughters, Barbara could not have made her dream come true.
Lisa Hess (Ms. Lisa) is the Teacher’s Assistant at Kinderhaus. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Lisa is a Nature lover, Bird Enthusiast, Painter and Fiber Artist living in Sandyston, New Jersey. She enjoys camping and adventuring with her her family on their converted school bus. Art is her passion and she thrives on daily creativity.
Jennifer Breidster-Nagy (Ms. Jen) is the Specials Assistant at Kinderhaus. She graduated with honors from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Dance and a minor in Education. After graduation, she accepted a position at a reputable NY dance academy as the Head Ballet Instructor, where she taught children ages 5-adult for over ten years. Having three children of her own to raise, she began teaching locally in Milford. Jen began her own ballet, creative movement and mommy & me classes for young children. She purchased a studio in Milford where she continued with her children’s classes as well as adult fitness and Zumba. All three of Ms. Jen’s children were students of Ms. Barb’s, and Jen found herself volunteering and assisting in the Montessori classroom. Ms. Jen currently shares her love of movement, music and children with the Kinderhaus family as an Assistant Teacher.
